Mike Huckabee: Qatar Funds Influence in American Universities
Anti-Israel propaganda in the US received billions of dollars through Qatari university programs. US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee stated that organizers used these funds to fracture American society. The diplomat added that social media networks controlled by Russian and Chinese programs exerted additional influence.
Mike Huckabee identified this campaign as a primary challenge for US-Israeli relations. He previously accused Qatar, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other countries of influencing the education system in the United States. The Qatari government officially denies these allegations.
Relations between the US and Israel extend beyond a military alliance. The American ambassador justified this bond through the shared Judeo-Christian foundation of Western civilization. He previously stated that America would not exist without Israel.
Qatar’s capacity to fund foreign programs recently diminished. Qatari gas exports dropped due to logistical disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. These difficulties result from Iranian actions, directly hitting Doha’s export revenues.
