Netanyahu Visits UAE: Shin Bet Files Complaint Against News Channel

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office officially confirmed Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the United Arab Emirates. The government delegation included the head of the Mossad, the national security advisor, military secretary Guy Markizano, the prime minister’s wife Sara Netanyahu, and a senior security official from the Shin Bet.
The diplomatic visit was accompanied by a breach of security protocols by the press. Keshet News (Channel 12) published information about the government flight at 21:38, while the aircraft was still in UAE territory. Security rules require keeping the movements of top state officials secret until they return to Israeli airspace.
In response to the premature disclosure of data, the Shin Bet sent an official complaint to the chief military censor demanding action against the news channel. The prime minister’s plane safely landed in Israel at 22:27, but the publication sparked a conflict between intelligence services and journalists, highlighting the need for stricter control over publication embargoes amid security risks.
