Priestly Blessing at the Western Wall Scheduled for September 28 and October 1

The traditional Priestly Blessing at the Western Wall will be held over two days this year. Freed hostages, families of the fallen and wounded IDF soldiers are expected to attend the ceremonies.

The traditional Priestly Blessing at the Western Wall will take place on Monday, September 28, and Thursday, October 1. Organizers scheduled the ceremony on two separate days to better manage the large crowds expected to attend.

On both days, the Shacharit morning prayer will begin at 8:45 a.m., followed by the first Priestly Blessing at 9:15 a.m. The Mussaf additional prayer will start at 10:15 a.m., with the second Priestly Blessing at 10:30 a.m.

Freed hostages, families of those killed, and wounded IDF soldiers are expected to take part in this year’s services.

Authorities have warned that access to Jerusalem’s Old City and the Western Wall may be restricted once the site reaches capacity. Police are urging visitors to follow instructions from on-site ushers.
