Donald Trump Suggests Sending “Gays for Palestine” Activists to Negotiate in Gaza

US President Donald Trump criticized participants of the "Gays for Palestine" movement during a rally in Alabama. The American leader sarcastically suggested sending the LGBT demonstrators to the Gaza Strip for a direct dialogue with the local administration

Donald Trump criticized participants of the “Gays for Palestine” movement during a campaign rally in Mobile, Alabama. The president drew the audience’s attention to the demonstrators’ placards, expressing bewilderment at their support for the Palestinian side. Trump reminded the crowd that same-sex relationships are criminalized in the Gaza Strip and several Middle Eastern countries, which directly contradicts Western human rights standards.

He suggested sending the movement’s activists to the enclave for negotiations, stating from the stage that no one would ever see them again after such a trip. While the politician did not detail how sexual minorities are treated in the territory, he emphasized the severity of the local regime. The speech was part of a campaign trail event ahead of the US congressional midterm elections.

In March 2026, Donald Trump made similar statements on Fox News, pointing to the legal status of sexual minorities in the Palestinian territories. Same-sex relations are officially banned and punishable by imprisonment in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
