Kia Unveils PV5 Electric Minivan: Versatility and Advanced Technology

Kia has officially introduced its first electric minivan, the PV5 — a groundbreaking model that launches a new direction within the automaker’s Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) initiative. Now available for pre-order in the UK starting at £32,995, the PV5 comes in several configurations: passenger, cargo, crew (combined), and a WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle) version designed for people with limited mobility.

Customers can choose between two battery options: a standard 51.5 kWh pack offering up to 240 km of range, or an extended 71.2 kWh version with up to 400 km of range. Inside, the PV5 features a 12.9-inch touchscreen running Android Automotive, a fully digital instrument cluster, and state-of-the-art driver assistance systems.

Deliveries will begin in Europe and South Korea by the end of 2025, with global expansion planned for 2026. Kia has already partnered with Uber and other mobility service providers to integrate the PV5 into passenger transport fleets.
