Sakura in the Heart of Jerusalem – Festival at the Jerusalem Botanical Garden

Starting February 6, the Botanical Garden at Givat Ram kicks off its annual “Month of Japanese Culture”, timed with the peak of cherry blossom season.

The Jerusalem Botanical Garden transforms once again into a little Tokyo. One of the year’s most anticipated natural events — the blooming of Japanese cherry trees – is accompanied in 2026 by a festival that runs until February 27.

This year, organizers have prepared a rich program that allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Land of the Rising Sun without leaving Jerusalem.

What to expect:

• Live performances featuring traditional Japanese instruments as well as modern shows.
• Demonstrations by leading martial arts schools.
• Workshops and cultural activities that explore the nuances of Japanese daily life.
