Israel’s Chief Sephardic Rabbi David Yosef Visited France to Support Jewish Communities

The Rabbi paid special attention to the education of the younger generation. The central event was a visit to the Beis Menachem Jewish school

Recently, the Chief Sephardic Rabbi of Israel, Rishon LeZion Rabbi David Yosef (shlit”a), made a brief but significant visit to France. The primary purpose of the trip was to provide spiritual strengthening and support to local Jewish communities, which play a pivotal role in preserving Jewish traditions in the Diaspora.

The Rabbi paid special attention to the education of the younger generation. The central event of the visit was his attendance at the Beis Menachem Jewish school (part of the Chabad “Sinai” network) in Paris. There, the Rishon LeZion met with the students, affixed a mezuzah to the doors of the newly renovated building, and personally blessed the boys, inspiring them to pursue diligent Torah study and remain faithful to their Jewish heritage.

This trip vividly highlights the unbreakable bond between the State of Israel and the Jewish communities of Europe. The Chief Rabbi’s personal interaction with the youth and his spiritual guidance served as an important sign of solidarity, demonstrating a deep care for the future of European Jewry.
