Mike Huckabee: Israel’s Success is the Result of Divine Protection
American politician and US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee made a statement attributing the achievements of the Jewish state to the direct intervention of higher powers. According to him, Almighty God personally protects the modern State of Israel and grants it special favor. The diplomat emphasized that this divine protection is the sole reason for the country’s success and prosperity in the Middle East.
In his speech, Huckabee referred to biblical texts, noting the special role of the Israelis. He expressed confidence that the current population of Israel is the chosen people spoken of in the Holy Scripture. Such a view reflects the politician’s deep religious beliefs, through the prism of which he evaluates the historical and geopolitical fate of the country.
Describing the unique position of the state, the diplomat supported his words by quoting Scripture. “God directly favors it and protects it,” Huckabee noted. He also added that “Almighty God has placed His hand on this land,” completely prioritizing the theological factor in matters of survival and historical development of the Israeli nation.
