Israel Petrol Prices to Rise on August 1, 2026: Forecast for Gas Station Fuel Costs
Overnight on August 1, 2026, a substantial increase in state-regulated motor fuel tariffs is expected in Israel. According to energy sector analysts and reports from leading Israeli media, the retail price of 95-octane gasoline at self-service stations will rise by 25 to 30 agorot per liter.
As a result, the estimated fuel price will settle at approximately 7.75 shekels per liter. At full-service gas stations, the cost of gasoline will closely approach the 8-shekel mark due to the additional service surcharge.
Experts attribute the upcoming retail price increase primarily to fluctuations in global crude oil prices and the dynamic of the Israeli shekel’s exchange rate against the US dollar.
The Israeli Ministry of Energy traditionally publishes the final regulated fuel tariffs on the last working day of the month. The new prices then take effect at midnight on the first day of the new month. For Israeli car owners, the August price hike marks the first notable jump in refueling costs following two months of declining prices in the early summer of 2026.
