Online shopping in Israel: Daily transactions surpass 1 billion shekels for the first time

In June 2026, Israelis set a new record for online transactions, with the average daily volume surpassing the 1 billion shekel mark for the first time.

Online shopping in Israel reached record levels in June 2026. The Shva clearing company reported an average daily volume of online transactions totaling 1.001 billion shekels. The figure marked the first time the average daily volume surpassed the 1 billion shekel threshold.

Throughout the month, Israeli consumers spent 30.028 billion shekels on digital transactions. This amount was 22.9% higher than the figure recorded in June of the previous year. The previous record for average daily transaction volume stood at approximately 990 million shekels and was set in November 2025 during the peak holiday sales season.

The growth of digital purchases in Israel has continued for several consecutive years. Today, online transactions account for a significant share of all credit card spending. Experts attribute this trend to the expansion of local and international e-commerce platforms, the convenience of delivery services, and the growing preference among consumers to shop online from home.
