Elon Musk’s X Money Payment Service Launches in the United States

X Money, the digital payments service developed by Elon Musk's X, has officially launched in the United States. The platform is rolling out in partnership with Cross River Bank and Visa, marking another step in Musk's plan to transform X into an all-in-one digital platform.

X Money, the payment service operated by Elon Musk’s X, has officially launched in the United States. Developed in partnership with Cross River Bank and Visa, the service allows users to hold funds in a digital wallet, send money to other X users, and make purchases using an X Money debit card.

The rollout is being conducted in phases, meaning the new features are becoming available to users gradually. One of the platform’s key offerings is an annual yield of up to 6% on wallet balances. The maximum rate is available only to eligible users who meet the program’s requirements.

The launch of X Money is part of Musk’s broader strategy to transform X into an “everything app” that combines social networking, digital payments, and financial services within a single platform. The company also plans to expand the service with additional payment and money transfer features.

Following the U.S. rollout, X intends to make X Money available internationally. Expanding into global markets will require regulatory approvals and partnerships with local financial institutions, and the company has not yet announced a timeline for the international launch.
