Bank Leumi to Launch Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana Trading in Leumi Trade App in 2027

Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana trading in the Leumi Trade app will become available to Bank Leumi clients in early 2027. The bank’s management officially confirmed its plans to integrate cryptocurrencies into the traditional financial system. The financial institution signed a partnership agreement with Galaxy Digital to provide digital asset services to its retail user base.
Users will gain the ability to buy, sell, and store cryptocurrencies directly through the Leumi Trade interface and the Pepper banking application. Developers will integrate the Galaxy Digital institutional platform directly into the bank’s core infrastructure. All cryptocurrency transactions will execute within a dedicated secure zone in the application to ensure maximum transaction reliability.
The Galaxy Custody platform, formerly known as the Israeli startup GK8, will handle custodial services and the secure storage of private keys. The full deployment of these features will commence once the bank receives final regulatory approval from the Bank of Israel. This initiative establishes Bank Leumi as the first Israeli bank to offer regulated crypto market access to its 2.5 million customers.
