Jonathan Pollard Joins Israel First Party and Runs for Knesset

The former US intelligence analyst announced his intention to run in the upcoming elections. He harshly criticized the current leadership and aligned with Sharren Haskel's new right-wing party.

Jonathan Pollard joined the new right-wing Israel First party and plans to run for the Knesset. Pollard made the announcement on August 23 in Jerusalem at the Western Wall alongside party leader Sharren Haskel.

He harshly criticized the actions of the Israeli political leadership before and after the events of October 7, 2023. Pollard stated that the state was abandoned and called for the formation of a government willing to take responsibility for national security. He emphasized the need for a Zionist course and called for an unapologetic stance regarding the country’s Jewish identity.

Sharren Haskel called Pollard’s addition a major boost to the party. The lawmaker described him as a national hero who paid a high price for his commitment to the Jewish people. The Israel First party, founded in July 2026, focuses on security, a free economy, and the development of settlements.
