Real Estate in Jerusalem’s Old City: Apartment Designed by Moshe Safdie Listed for NIS 50 Million

An apartment with a view of the Western Wall has been listed for sale in Jerusalem’s Old City for NIS 50 million. The 240-square-meter property is located in a building designed by renowned architect Moshe Safdie.

An apartment in Jerusalem overlooking the Western Wall has been put up for sale for NIS 50 million. The owner has nearly halved the original asking price of NIS 100 million after several years without finding a buyer, according to Israeli business news outlet TheMarker.

The 240-square-meter property is located in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City. The building was constructed in 1973 to a design by renowned architect Moshe Safdie, near the Western Wall plaza. All of the apartment’s windows offer direct panoramic views of the Western Wall, one of Judaism’s holiest sites.

The current owner, a 91-year-old American Jew, purchased the property in 1978 while serving in the military. At the time the apartment cost him several hundred thousand dollars. He has now reduced the asking price from NIS 100 million to NIS 50 million in an effort to speed up the sale.
