Martin Menem, the President of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies, arrived in Israel on an official visit and held a series of meetings with the leadership of the Israeli Knesset. This move continued the new foreign policy vector of the Argentine government, aimed at strengthening ties with Jerusalem. Together with the Argentine Ambassador, the head of the lower house of parliament took part in negotiations that solidified the partner status of the two states.

The head of the Argentine delegation emphasized that under the leadership of President Javier Milei, Buenos Aires openly declares its support for Israel and returns to the values of democracy and freedom in the international arena.

Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana called the visit of his Argentine colleague a historic event and confirmed his readiness to expand inter-parliamentary dialogue. The meeting demonstrated the formation of a new standard of interaction between the countries of Latin America and the Middle East. Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to establish permanent communication channels for exchanging experience in security and economic cooperation.
