Israeli Cybersecurity Company ActiveFence Announces Layoffs Amid Operational Optimization

ActiveFence, an Israeli cybersecurity firm known for combating harmful online content, is laying off 22 employees, representing about 7% of its global workforce. Roughly half of those affected are based in Israel.
The company’s proprietary technology identifies and monitors malicious online activity, helping protect billions of users worldwide from threats such as extremism, disinformation, child sexual abuse, fraud, and other online harms.
In an official statement, ActiveFence said:
“Like any company operating in today’s market, ActiveFence constantly works to optimize and improve operations. As part of this process, we have made the difficult decision to part ways with a small number of employees. The vast majority of our team continues to drive the company forward as we fulfill our mission to make the digital world safer for everyone. ActiveFence continues to grow and is hiring for multiple positions globally.”
To date, the company has raised approximately $100 million from investors including CRV, Highland Europe, Grove Ventures, and Norwest Venture Partners.
