Direct Flights from Haifa to Crete: Schedule and Ticket Prices from Air Haifa
Air Haifa has launched direct flights between Haifa Airport and Heraklion, the administrative center of the island of Crete. The new route provides residents of Israel’s Northern District with the opportunity to fly directly to Greece, bypassing Ben Gurion International Airport in the center of the country. The first flight on this route was operated on May 20. According to official information from the airline, the starting price for a one-way ticket from Haifa to Heraklion is $99.
Flights to Crete are operated twice a week—on Wednesdays and Saturdays. This schedule makes it convenient to plan both standard vacations and short weekend getaways. Departing from the local Haifa airport significantly reduces travel time for residents of the north, alleviating the hassle associated with traveling to Israel’s main airport.
The launch of flights to Heraklion marks a continuation of the expansion of Air Haifa’s summer flight program. Currently, the airline already operates regular flights from Haifa to Athens, Larnaca, Paphos, and Rhodes, as well as to Eilat in southern Israel. In the coming months, the carrier plans to further expand its route network by adding flights to the Greek islands of Mykonos and Karpathos.
