Abelardo de la Espriella has won Colombia’s presidential election.

Abelardo de la Espriella known by the nickname “Tigre”, won the presidential election with a margin of 250,000 votes. The president-elect officially announced a fundamental shift in the country’s political course and a revision of key state priorities.
For previous years, supporters of left-wing views managed the state apparatus, shaping the domestic agenda. The new leader intends to completely dismantle this policy. Now, the cabinet’s main task will be the strict limitation of the progressive left’s influence on government institutions.
The country’s foreign policy is also receiving new guidelines: the Esperia administration plans a strategic rapprochement with Washington and Jerusalem. Domestically, the government is launching a security campaign aimed at direct confrontation with terrorist organizations and drug cartels.
