Amjad Taha: In the UAE, Antisemitism is a Crime, Not Just an Opinion

After visiting a Holocaust memorial in Poland, renowned regional expert and journalist Amjad Taha laid a wreath in memory of the victims to reaffirm a commitment to ensuring such atrocities never happen again. In his statement published on social media platform X, he drew a clear line between UAE policy and the situation in the West, emphasizing that in the United Arab Emirates, antisemitism is classified as a criminal offense, whereas in Britain and other nations, it is increasingly perceived merely as a permissible “personal opinion.”
In the same address, Taha explicitly identified the Iranian regime and Hezbollah as forces seeking to repeat the Holocaust through terror and the use of proxy structures across the Middle East and Europe. The author urged the international community not to allow propaganda to take children hostage and to deny any chance of justifying aggression against the UAE, Bahrain, and Israel. Concluding his post with a call for unity, Amjad Taha emphasized: “WE MUST STAND TOGETHER and WORK TOGETHER to PREVENT ANOTHER HOLOCAUST.”
