Economic Revival of Northern Israel: Government and Business Sector Unite

Israel’s Ministry of Finance has announced the establishment of a national task force to coordinate efforts between the public and private sectors to revitalize the northern regions of the country. The initiative will include the Ministry of Finance, the Presidium of the Israeli Business Sector, the Israel Business Roundtable, and several philanthropic organizations.

“Israel’s business sector plays a key role in the country’s recovery, particularly in the north,” said Orna Kleinmann, Managing Director of SAP Labs Israel. She emphasized the importance of cooperation: “If you want to go fast, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together. Israel’s current reality demands cross-sector collaboration.”

Dubi Amitai, Chairman of the Presidium of the Israeli Business Sector, stated that the war has created a “historic window of opportunity” for transformation in the north.

“Our goal is not merely to restore the pre-war reality, but to create a ‘New North.’ This is an unprecedented initiative bringing together the government, business sector, and philanthropy,” he stressed.

Accountant General Yali Rothenberg said the task force will focus on job creation, business development, and attracting new investments.

“In addition, the task force will assist with integrating reservists and wounded soldiers into the workforce,” she added.
