Jerusalem’s Nature Museum Undergoes Major Renovation: New Exhibits and Digital Technology

The Jerusalem Nature Museum is preparing for a massive modernization. New interactive exhibits and educational spaces will open in the second half of 2026.

The Jerusalem Municipality, in collaboration with the Jerusalem Foundation, has announced the launch of a project to renovate the Nature Museum. The reconstruction cost is estimated at 67 million shekels. The main goal of the project is to transform the historic institution into a modern scientific center, integrated with cutting-edge technologies.

Following the completion of the work, visitors can expect interactive exhibits and a renewed collection of preserved animals, including extinct local species, which will be presented using digital technologies.

As part of the project, additional spaces for educational and leisure activities will also be created. Plans include the restoration of master class halls, the organization of training areas, the installation of beehives for observation, and the opening of a cozy café.

Significant changes will also affect the museum’s surrounding grounds. The public garden and the ecological pond will be completely revamped. The completion of all restoration work is scheduled for the second half of 2026.
