Fiji has announced the opening of an embassy in Jerusalem and will officially inaugurate it in the Har Hotzvim neighborhood in approximately two weeks.
Jerusalem Mayor *Moshe Lion* commented: “I warmly welcome the State of Fiji for this historic and moving step, which strengthens the status of the capital of the State of Israel in the heart of the international community.
The anticipated visit of Fiji’s Prime Minister for the opening ceremony is proof of the country’s genuine commitment to Jerusalem and the State of Israel.
This is a festive day for the city of Jerusalem, and we look forward to the continued development of diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between our nations, based on a strong and mutual friendship.”
