HolyLandTravel.ai: AI Platform for Christian Pilgrims Unveiled in Israel

At the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM 2026), held on February 3–4 at Expo Tel Aviv, the innovative AI-based platform HolyLandTravel.ai was officially launched. The project is designed to assist Christian pilgrims in planning their spiritual journeys to Israel.
The new free online system allows users to create personalized travel itineraries across Israel in seconds, factoring in dates, budget, preferences, and key religious sites. The platform automatically generates customized video and audio content—including podcasts and video tours—to help travelers gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual and historical significance of each location. HolyLandTravel.ai integrates with Google Maps for seamless navigation and logistics, while also allowing users to save, edit, and share their routes.
The platform was presented by the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee — the former Governor of Arkansas, a prominent evangelical leader, and an organizer of dozens of pilgrimage tours to Israel. The project was initiated and primarily sponsored by American-Israeli philanthropist Jack Gottlieb, founder of the World Jewish Travel platform. Development was carried out in collaboration with students and faculty from Reichman University*in Herzliya.
The Israel Ministry of Tourism views the launch of HolyLandTravel.ai as a vital component of its strategy to revitalize the tourism industry after several challenging years. A special emphasis is being placed on religious and spiritual tourism, which remains one of the most stable and loyal market segments.
