Inbar Weiss-Ivri Appointed Jerusalem City Architect

Inbar Weiss-Ivri, who previously served as the Deputy Chief Engineer of the city, has been appointed as the new City Architect of Jerusalem. Weiss-Ivri will head the capital’s architectural and urban planning policy, oversee the development and implementation of development plans, and be responsible for the appearance of public spaces and the visual identity of the city.
The appointment is part of a large-scale reform of urban planning management, aimed at strengthening the architectural approach in Jerusalem’s development.
According to the Head of the Planning and Infrastructure Administration, Yoel Even, Weiss-Ivri has already proven herself as an experienced professional capable of leading complex projects and promoting a modern vision for the urban environment:
“Inbar combines deep professional knowledge, architectural thinking, and a sincere love for Jerusalem. We are confident that under her leadership, the capital will continue to develop with respect for history and a forward-looking perspective,” Even noted.
Weiss-Ivri joined the Municipality about a year ago. Previously, she held the post of Chief Engineer of the city of Beit Shemesh and Vice President for Planning at the “Africa-Israel” company.
Inbar graduated from the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion) with a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning, and has practical experience in managing complex projects.
