AI Specialists Become Israel’s Highest-Paid Professionals in 2025

Artificial Intelligence (AI) specialists have emerged as Israel’s highest-paid professionals, significantly outpacing other high-tech occupations in the country.

According to data for the first half of 2025, the average salary of AI experts reached a record-breaking 43,085 shekels per month (approximately $11,500). Specialists in generative AI are particularly valued, with their average monthly earnings climbing to 46,755 shekels, setting an absolute industry record.

This rapid salary increase is driven by a severe shortage of skilled workers amidst the widespread adoption of AI technologies across key economic sectors such as healthcare, security, and agriculture. Demand for AI professionals nearly doubled in the first quarter of 2025 alone.

In comparison, the average salary across Israel’s high-tech sector is around 36,700 shekels, while the nationwide average salary remains below 14,600 shekels. This gap highlights the rapidly growing attractiveness of careers in artificial intelligence and intensifying competition among employers for qualified talent.
