Israel Eases Car Import Rules Amid Wartime Disruptions

Israel eases car import rules during war: tens of thousands of vehicles arrive as the government extends registration deadlines amid logistical delays.

In response to the ongoing war and logistics delays, Israel’s Ministry of Finance has decided to ease regulations for vehicle importers. Tens of thousands of new vehicles are expected to arrive at northern ports in the coming weeks.

To prevent a vehicle shortage in the Israeli market, authorities plan to extend the temporary registration period by two months, giving importers more time to complete the required procedures.

The Ministry of Transport is also considering streamlining storage and distribution processes to accelerate the vehicles’ arrival at dealerships.

This decision is especially important for buyers who ordered cars in recent months, as deliveries have been significantly delayed due to the conflict and partial port closures
