Israeli Artist Alex Levin Unveils New Painting

Levin’s work explores the spiritual heritage of Jerusalem, its cultural memory, and Jewish identity.

Israeli artist Alex Levin has presented his latest work — “Old Olive Tree Over Jerusalem.” This piece is dedicated to eternity, silence, and the profound connection between man and the land of Israel, where an ancient olive tree stands as a symbol of time spanning millennia. The composition also features a shepherd and his sheep, evoking the simple biblical life when these hills were filled with the everyday rhythms of the ancient world.

> “I wanted to show a moment of silence and eternity, where man and nature seem to stand still before the majesty of Jerusalem. To me, the ancient olive tree is a symbol of time that has passed through millennia and continues to watch over this city. The shepherd and his sheep remind us of the simple biblical life that once filled these hills. In this painting, I tried to convey a sense of peace, light, and the deep connection between man and the land of Israel,”
