Book Fairs in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv Postponed to June 10

Jewish Book Week is one of Israel’s largest cultural events and is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

The organizers announced that despite the venues being fully prepared, the opening of the Jewish Book Week book fairs, originally scheduled for June 9, 2026, at Safra Square in Jerusalem and Sarona Park in Tel Aviv, has been postponed to June 10. The decision was made due to Iranian missile attacks and the security restrictions currently in place.

The event organizers emphasized that the fairs have not been canceled. “We are not giving up on holding the event. The venues are fully ready to welcome visitors, and we expect to open the fairs on June 10, provided that no additional restrictions are imposed by the security authorities.”

Jewish Book Week is one of Israel’s largest cultural events and is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Every year, the fairs attract tens of thousands of visitors, but this time the organizers were forced to adjust the opening date because of the tense security situation and missile attacks launched from Iran.
