International Chamber Music Festival to Kick Off in Jerusalem

Jerusalem hosts the International Chamber Music Festival 2025: five days of concerts, quintets, and world-class musicians.

JERUSALEM — The 27th International Chamber Music Festival, one of Israel’s most vibrant cultural events, will take place at the YMCA concert hall from September 9 to 13.

This year, the festival will focus on the quintet genre, which showcases the rich sound of chamber ensembles. The program includes works by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Franck, Shostakovich, and other great composers.

Under the artistic direction of Elena Bashkirova, leading Israeli and international musicians will perform, including Yulianna Avdeeva, Alexander Melnikov, Thomas G. Bauer, Astrig Siranosian, and many others.

The festival will open on the evening of September 9 with a concert featuring pieces by Schubert, Beethoven, Mozart, Ravel, and Brahms. The following days will see a variety of quintet performances, vocal ensembles, and special concerts on the YMCA bells.

Tickets are available on the official festival website and at the YMCA box office (phone: 02-6250444).
