Jerusalem Approves Construction of 452 New Apartments in Kiryat Menachem

The Jerusalem authorities have approved a new urban renewal project in the Kiryat Menachem neighborhood. According to the approved plan, two 40-story residential towers and one nine-story building will be constructed, replacing old block buildings that currently contain 128 apartments.
In total, the project will deliver 452 new residential units.
The development will be implemented under a “build–move–demolish” scheme: first, the new buildings will be constructed, then residents will move in, and only after that will the old buildings be demolished.
This approach minimizes inconvenience for current residents and allows for a direct move into new housing, without temporary relocation.
This project is part of a large-scale initiative to renew Jerusalem’s housing stock, aimed at improving quality of life, modernizing urban infrastructure, and increasing the supply of affordable homes in the capital.
