Volunteers help Latrun Monastery restore vineyards after a fire.
After a fire at Latrun Monastery, volunteers are helping the monks restore the vineyards and preserve their winemaking traditions

A fire this spring damaged the vineyards and olive trees of Latrun Monastery, located near Jerusalem. The monks faced the threat of losing a significant part of their harvest and a reduction in wine production.
Dozens of Israelis answered the call for help. Among them are students, farmers, and caring people from different parts of the country. Together, they took on the task of replanting vines and restoring the burnt plantations.

Thanks to their support, the work is progressing faster, and the monks now have hope that Latrun’s winemaking traditions can be preserved.
