McAfee Acquires Israeli Personal Data Protection App SayMine

McAfee, a leading cybersecurity provider, has acquired the app SayMine, developed by the Israeli startup MineOS. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed. The acquisition will allow McAfee to expand its personal data protection capabilities by integrating SayMine’s technologies into its products.
The SayMine app helps users identify where their personal data is stored online, who owns it, and request its deletion to enhance privacy. Since its launch in 2018, SayMine has gained popularity among millions of users worldwide, offering convenient tools for managing their digital footprint.
After the acquisition, MineOS will focus on developing enterprise solutions, including a platform for automated data management and compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. The company’s founder, Kobi Nissan, noted that this is an important step in the growth of MineOS, while SayMine will continue to operate under McAfee’s management.
This purchase highlights the growing demand for personal data protection technologies in Israel, often called the “Startup Nation.” At the same time, McAfee strengthens its position in the personal cybersecurity market. The integration of SayMine’s technologies into McAfee products is expected in the coming months, and all current app features will remain available to users.
