Momo Filber Claims Efforts Are Underway to Weaken Israel’s Right-Wing Bloc Ahead of Elections

Israeli political analyst Momo Filber commented on the political situation surrounding Israel’s ultra-Orthodox parties and the broader right-wing bloc ahead of the next parliamentary elections. According to his assessment, representatives of the left-wing bloc are interested in encouraging the formation of additional ultra-Orthodox political parties, expecting that these lists will fail to cross the electoral threshold while diverting votes from the established religious parties.
Filber also argued that, in his view, some figures within the religious political camp are willing to cooperate with the left-wing bloc. He attributed this to financial interests but did not provide specific examples or evidence to support the claim.
The analyst also criticized the findings of several public opinion polls. According to Filber, some surveys deliberately underestimate support for the Shas party, creating the impression among voters that its electoral strength has fallen to seven Knesset seats.
Despite his criticism of the current political landscape, Filber expressed confidence that the right-wing bloc will retain its advantage and ultimately be able to form the next governing coalition following the parliamentary elections.
