New Park Opens in the Heart of Jerusalem: Rupin Park Welcomes Visitors

A new urban oasis, Rupin Park, has opened in Jerusalem between the National Library and the Israel Museum. The 36-dunam green space has quickly become a summer hotspot, attracting both residents and tourists.
Designed by the architectural firm Ollech + Tol, the park seamlessly blends natural beauty with modern amenities, including multi-level playgrounds, accessible pathways, cold-water drinking fountains, picnic and relaxation areas, and spacious lawns.
Highlight: Illuminated Fountain
The park’s main attraction is a spectacular illuminated fountain, operating every half-hour from 12:00 to 23:00. Streams of water combined with lighting effects create an enchanting evening atmosphere, reminiscent of a light show, enjoyed by both children and adults.
“Don’t ask how I know, but it’s really fun,” smiled one visitor.
Rupin Park is fully equipped for comfortable relaxation, featuring shaded benches, convenient pathways, decorative staircases, and accessibility for visitors with disabilities. Future plans include opening a visitor center with a café offering panoramic views of the Israel Museum.
The project is part of the city’s initiative to enhance green spaces in Jerusalem and has already received positive public feedback.
The park is open daily, free of charge, and easily accessible by public transport via the National Library or Israel Museum.
