Rubio: Ukraine Could Surpass Russia in GDP Within 10 Years

Senator Marco Rubio said Ukraine may overtake Russia in GDP within ten years, provided peace is achieved and the country secures long-term reconstruction and stability.

Senator Marco Rubio stated in an interview with Fox News that Ukraine’s economy, given “the right actions” and a successful end to the war, could surpass Russia in terms of GDP within the next ten years.

According to Rubio, achieving this scenario would require a peaceful settlement, security guarantees, and long-term reconstruction of Ukraine’s infrastructure. He emphasized that the goal is not only to restore the economy but to ensure its sustainable development and turn it into “a story of prosperity.”

The senator listed several key conditions, including ending the war, protecting Ukraine’s territorial integrity, preserving its sovereignty, and integrating the country into international economic processes.

Experts note that despite extensive destruction, Ukraine’s economic growth continues, although short-term forecasts remain modest. Analysts believe that if these conditions are met, Ukraine can expect long-term economic development and a significant increase in GDP. This could also attract international investors, provided the country maintains stability and security. Read more news about Ukraine
