Billions in Compensation: How and Where Israelis Can Claim War Damage Payments

Following the 12-day military operation in Iran, Israel continues to address the damage caused on the home front. The Israel Tax Authority has released updated figures on the compensation fund’s activity: since the outbreak of the conflict, 41,651 claims have been submitted.
Breakdown of claims:
32,975 for damaged buildings
4,119 for vehicle damage
4,456 for lost equipment and belongings

Thousands of affected properties remain unreported, and citizens are urged to submit claims without delay.
Currently, 140 field teams are operating nationwide, including 12 stationed in hotels where evacuees are temporarily housed. These teams assist residents in filing claims and beginning the restoration process. Each team includes engineers, appraisers, and municipal representatives.
