Omri Casspi’s Swish Ventures Closes $250 Million Venture Capital Fund for Early-Stage Tech
Swish Ventures, the venture capital firm founded by former NBA player Omri Casspi, has closed its third fund at $250 million. Following the new capital raise, the firm’s total assets under management have reached approximately $800 million. The fund will primarily invest in technology startups at the Seed and Series A stages. The average investment per company will be around $20 million, with the fund targeting a portfolio of approximately 12 companies.
Swish Ventures’ investment strategy focuses on technologies in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and defense. The firm also invests in projects related to technology infrastructure, industrial AI, Physical AI, and solutions for the public sector. A significant share of Swish Ventures’ portfolio companies are connected to the Israeli technology ecosystem, while the fund actively works with both Israeli and U.S. technology companies.
Omri Casspi ended his professional basketball career in 2021, after which he turned his focus to venture capital investing and the development of his own investment platform. Before entering the investment business, the Israeli forward spent 10 seasons in the NBA and played for seven teams, including the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors.
The newly raised capital will allow Swish Ventures to increase its investments in promising technology companies at early stages of development and participate in subsequent funding rounds for its most successful portfolio companies.
