Concert by Shmulik Sukkot Canceled in Jerusalem Following Objections from Religious Leaders

A major concert by the popular religious singer Shmulik Sukkot, scheduled to take place on the conclusion of Shabbat Hanukkah, has been canceled in Jerusalem. The event was set to be held at the Jerusalem Arena and was expected to attract around 7,000 attendees.
The concert was originally planned for both men and women, with full separation of seating through the use of a mechitza. However, after leading rabbis and prominent religious authorities expressed their opposition, the organizers decided to cancel the event.
The stated reason for the cancellation was a desire to avoid holding concerts with the mixed presence of men and women, even when a formal separation is in place, due to potential spiritual and moral concerns.
It has been reported that all 7,000 ticket holders will receive a full refund.
