Jerusalem’s Valero Square Hosts Annual Sukkot Market of the “Four Species”

Annual "Four Species" Market Opens at Jerusalem's Valero Square (Oct 3–6). Where to buy Lulav, Etrog, and Sukkah decorations. Over 40 stalls!

The annual market dedicated to preparations for the Sukkot holiday officially opened today in Jerusalem.

The market, known as the “Four Species” Market, is traditionally located in Valero Square, directly opposite the famous Mahane Yehuda Market and right next to the light rail station.

At this colorful bazaar, residents and visitors can purchase all the mandatory attributes for the holiday: the Lulav (palm frond), the Etrog (citron), the Hadas (myrtle), and the Aravah (willow).

In addition to the Four Species themselves, the market offers a wide selection of decorations and souvenirs for the Sukkah (the temporary holiday dwelling or booth).

This year, over 40 stalls are participating, creating the atmosphere of a vibrant and bustling bazaar. The opening of the market in Valero Square is a long-standing Jerusalem tradition, uniting residents and guests for decades.

The market will be open from October 3 to October 6, providing everyone the opportunity to acquire everything necessary for a proper celebration of Sukkot in one convenient location.
