Sweetener Sweelin by Amai Proteins Gets Israeli Ministry of Health Approval
Israeli foodtech startup Amai Proteins has received official authorization from the Ministry of Health to sell its sweelin protein.

The sweetener sweelin, which is 3,000 times sweeter than traditional sugar, is now officially approved for sale in Israel. The local foodtech startup Amai Proteins successfully passed all regulatory assessments by local health regulators to secure this certification.
The company manufactures the product using a precision fermentation process. This unique protein maintains blood sugar stability without causing any spikes in insulin or glucose levels.
Israel is the third country globally to approve this ingredient for commercial use. The startup previously secured similar regulatory approvals in the United States and Singapore. Food and beverage giants can now integrate this protein into mass production operations within the local market.
