Holodomor Monument in Jerusalem: Inauguration of the Work by Liudmyla Temertei and David Robinson
The first memorial to the victims of the Holodomor has appeared in Israel’s capital — a symbol of remembrance and solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

A ceremonial unveiling of the first Holodomor memorial in Israel took place in Jerusalem. The monument is located in the central part of the city, in the Wohl Rose Garden
The memorial was created by Canadian artist of Ukrainian origin Liudmyla Temertei, with sculptor David Robinson serving as co-author. Notably, a similar memorial was installed by the same authors in 1983 in Edmonton, reflecting a longstanding commitment to commemorating the tragedy of the Ukrainian people around the world.
The creation of the monument in Jerusalem represents an important step in promoting historical truth about the Holodomor and strengthening international solidarity with Ukraine. Read also: other interesting historical events
