Gila Gamliel Announces “AI Revolution” in Jerusalem’s Municipal Services

Just one day after the publication of the official rankings, in which Jerusalem placed last among Israel’s major cities in quality of life, authorities have announced a technological reboot of municipal services.
Today, Minister Gila Gamliel and Mayor Moshe Lion officially launched the implementation of Artificial Intelligence systems within the municipal framework. The project, dubbed the “AI Revolution,” will begin in the Social Welfare departments.
“We are starting the implementation of AI systems in social protection departments to streamline processes and provide residents with faster, higher-quality services. Moving forward, the project will be expanded to all city departments for the benefit of the entire public,” Gamliel stated.
The implementation of AI algorithms is designed to address a number of systemic issues:
- Accelerated Application Processing: Automation of routine tasks within social welfare services.
- Improved Accuracy of Assistance: Reducing the impact of the “human factor” in resource distribution.
- Enhanced Service Accessibility: Shortening wait times for the city’s most vulnerable populations.
