Jerusalem Puppet Carnival: Adloyada Features 30 Giant Puppets on Capital Streets

Jerusalem is gearing up for one of its most vibrant events of the year: the Purim Adloyada carnival parade. The festivities are scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, from 11:00 to 15:00 along Ruppin Boulevard.
Event Details & Locations
- Starting Point: The intersection near the VERT Jerusalem Hotel and the National Library. The procession will begin at the northern section of Ruppin Highway.
- Route: The parade will march along the “Museum Mile,” passing the Israel Museum and the Bible Lands Museum.
- Finish Line: The procession will conclude at the plaza near the Knesset and Wohl Rose Park (*Gan HaVradim*), which traditionally serves as the final zone featuring a main stage.
Highlights of the Procession
The parade will showcase approximately 30 giant puppets and installations. The lineup of characters includes Gulliver, Pinocchio, the Pied Piper of Hamelin, Abu Leila, and Superman.
An iconic historical figure is set to lead the column. Other highlights include a giant camel, a magical horse, and a 28-foot (8.5-meter) sorcerer.
Beyond the main parade, the city will come alive with performances by street theaters, live musical bands, and various dance troupes.
