Kempinski to Manage Mount Zion Hotel in Jerusalem

The Swiss chain Kempinski Hotels has signed an agreement to manage the revamped Mount Zion Hotel in Jerusalem following the completion of its renovation.

The international hotel chain Kempinski Hotels will take over management of the legendary Mount Zion Hotel in Jerusalem, which is owned by the Israeli Azrieli Group, Globes reports.

According to the source, the project includes a large-scale renovation and expansion of the complex. Once completed, the hotel will feature 341 rooms and an underground parking area for 220 vehicles. The reopening of the renewed Mount Zion Hotel is planned for 2028.

The Azrieli Group, one of Israel’s leading real estate and development companies, purchased the Mount Zion building six years ago. The decision to appoint Kempinski as the managing operator reflects the company’s goal of bringing the property up to international luxury standards.

Founded in 1897, Kempinski Hotels manages more than 80 luxury hotels across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. In Israel, the chain already operates The David Kempinski Tel Aviv, which opened in 2022.
